Meet Sanjeev Bikhchandani

Hi
well! it is not a face to face introduction, I was reading a book titled "Stay hungry stay foolish" by Rashmi Bansal which I didn't buy but was offered a read by my colleague Mr. Tarun Goel, who claims to have bought more than 1000 books in the recent 5 years, that is a big number.
The book is about the entrepreneurial journey of the 25 IIMA passed out students turned into
Sanjeev Bikhchandani
entrepreneurs. The first story is of the Sanjeev Bikhchandani, who is the founder of the very famous online job portal naukari.com more famous for the job seekers from India. He tells his story how they started a small office in his own home, after leaving a marketing job with HMM Horlicks(later renamed to other name). He was inspired to work for the idea which came up in his mind, on which he believed so much that he took the risk even when internet was not much introduced to India. He collected the advertisements on the newspapers and formed a database of the jobs for job-seekers. Along with Info Edge he founded another pharmaceutical company with the partner in 1990 and in 1993 they separated their ways, Sanjeev with Info Edge. In 1997 Info Edge started naukari.com and that was a revolutionary step and this changed many things for Sanjeev.
In the early days their was shortage of money and Sanjeev had his wife to support him to continue with the business, so relationships matters a lot, and specifically wives. Today Info Edge runs a numbers of online businesses like, naukarigulf.com, brijj.com and online matrimonial site and others.
There are 24 more entrepreneurs to read about in this book, so go for it, you would love it.
